Jangan Pisahkan -Phyne Ballerz

I just suck at reassuring. No matter what I do to cheer someone up, I'm not able to get him/her to calm down.

I'm looking at the post, thinking of what to write, but nothing will come to mind.

What if one of your friends suddenly sends you a suicide SMS?
My response: I start to get worried. Even more so when she doesn't respond when I replied. Furthermore when I sent another message the next day and she still doesn't reply. That's when paranoia got to me. The whole of the following days I kept pondering over whether she was still alive. I forced myself to read the New Paper, hopefully not to discover any article concerning a girl in her teens committing suicide. The irony.

Well, friends with problems, I try to help. But it's when I didn't manage to cheer them up, will then it will become my problem.

"Where did I go wrong? Was it something I said?"

Then I will start to brood about it, about the problems they face, and then think of optimistic ways to cheer them up. Initiating the optimistic side of myself, I tried to console them.

But time and time again failure hit me.

Today was the 2nd FYP meeting. The things I thought (who confirm?) in the train seriously killed the mood for the rest of the day. I apologise to my teammates, Shaq, Alvin and Ace for the black clouds that you guys saw surrounding me.

The incident that happened 2 months ago suddenly made a toll on me (that didn't come out right, but whatever) and I became more depressed as usual.

I lost a friend.

Livin' On A Prayer

Tag replies:
>fieana: apparently so...

>Holly: stupid laughs? Haha, what kind of stupid laughs?

Today's my mother's birthday. So... Happy Birthday mom (my real mom that is)!

Frankly speaking, my father doesn't deserve you, seeing how he always takes advantage of you. You have to work so that we would have enough to live through the day, despite the fact that father earns about $2k per month. And he even has the cheek to ask you for money and not return it back, no matter how many times he said that he would return the money he owes. Yet, you don't raise your voice towards him. You're so kind-hearted. Probably that's a mother's love for you.

Argh, I should stop here.

Ternyata -Estrella

If only Estrella would come to Singapore... I'll go watch her concert! I especially love the vocalist, Liyana. She's so cute! ><

Anyway, if you don't know who Estrella is, they're actually based in Malaysia. Their songs are very slow and jazzy, and their heartfelt tunes really appeal to me.

One of their singles, entitled Stay, is actually quite popular and is heard quite frequently on Malaysian radio stations. I don't know about Singapore Malay radio stations though. Not that I listen to Malaysia radio anyway. Haha.

Read My Mind -The Killers

On train rides to school, I usually think of what to put in my blog. But then when I actually got to blogging, I forgot what I'm supposed to blog about.

Sorry people, no updates.

Oh ya, I got banned from my own tagboard for unknown reasons. So I won't be able to reply to people who tag on my blog.

What's A Girl To Do -Bat For Lashes

Was supposed to go to my uncle's office because my uncle have a client from Universal Studios coming to do a recording session but I didn't. Well, the client cancelled it last minute anyway. But I decided to spend the say with my friends instead.

The day started with a trip to Ikea Queenstown with Raudha and Shafiq, just for the heck of it. Well apparently Raudha wanted to look for something so that her mother can buy it for her. And until know, I still don't know what was that 'something' she was looking for. As for me, I'm still looking for a glass casing/box. Something like the one shown below.Ikea's interior designs give you this warm and cozy feeling, which I like a lot. I used to love riding in one of these when I was small. It's just like an indoor swing. Only 'deadlier'. Heh.And these alien night lights are so cute! You have to charge them first for it to illuminate on its own overnight. And there's a switch as well. Just press their heads. Haha! Too bad they cost $29 each. If only it were cheaper, I would have bought all 3.I was observing the pictures. Realised they actually used the EXACT same picture for the girl in the 2 pictures.Mittens!I was having fun playing with the lights. Shafiq as well. Haha. After covering the whole of Ikea (somewhat), we left the place, as I was getting hungry. We headed to Anchorpoint opposite Ikea, planning to eat at LJS as I was having a craving for the Cajun chicken thingy, furthermore with Shafiq who brought along his LJS coupons. Surveyed the whole of the 1st and basement hoping to find the place but we ended up exploring around. And we were getting frustrated that there wasn't any directory anywhere within the mall. We stopped by Comics Connection and some novelties shop.

Since we couldn't find LJS, we decided to head for MacDonalds at Queensway. And guess what?THE FREAKING DIRECTORY IS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE MALL! Nice, so if I need to know a particular shop, I need to head all the way outside just to find out where it is located.

Carry on...Using the coupons I brought, we pampered ourselves. Heh, well Raudha had to leave as her boyfriend was picking her up, leaving only me and Shafiq.

I shall not say what I ordered. Instead, Shafiq's meal is the one worth mentioning. As the coupon allowed us to have a free item on top of the EVM, guess what Shafiq ordered?

A Mega Mac! Well, he just slot a Cheeseburger in between the top layer of the Big Mac.Shafiq raped the burger! And I'm surprised he managed to eat it like that, despite having a mess of lettuce on the floor. Haha.

As we were meeting Linus, Verdell and Sky at City Hall, we made our way there. Sebastian joined as well.

Initial plan was to eat dinner at Swensens. But due to complications, we bought our own food. A 'multi-racial' potluck. In a sense that Verdell bought LJS, Sky bought Burger King, I bought Mac (again), Shafiq bought KFC and Linus bought Subway. If you count in Sebas who got Pie Kia for free as well...

Anyway, we made our way to Esplanade. Wanted to go to the rooftop but it was closed, probably for shooting. Deduction made from the Mediacorp van parked outside. So we went to the open air auditorium (is that what it is called?) and sat there.

Oh ya, and in celebration of the Mosaic festival, we saw these cool stick dudes. And that's me on the drums. We really had fun, especially when the games started. The usual kind of get-together games where if you were to be the loser, you will have to answer posed by either of us honestly. But hey, what started there ended there. The policy of get-together games. =)

It started to get late, and so we started to pack up. And Luna was shining ever so brightly in the sky, uncovered by the tainted puffs. And it was shining so bright, we could see a curve of rainbow being reflected onto the nearby clouds. And Sebastian wanted to take a picture of it. So I suggested using my digital camera. And my digicam is VERY bad at taking night mode shots, so this was what came up.Then he got an idea.

And this is what I call... MOON DOODLES!
Because my camera takes a few seconds to gather as much light as it can before the picture is taken, he took that moment to 'draw' or rather just move about the camera and 'draw'. Here are some of the doodles we got. Use your imagination as well. =)

A long haired girlA spring coil? This looks like someone's signature. What is the arrow pointing to?PRATA! Actually I have no clue what to make of this. And I saved the best for last! This was actually one of the first few pictures taken by Sebastian. If you turn it upside down, it actually looks like a bird flying in the air! Cool shit huh? And don't try to turn your laptop or desktop screen upside down. You'll look retarded. And I shall end this post with probably the only best and picture of the moon.

Stay -Estrella

In school on a Saturday. Alone, but I still got a friend to accompany me.People know me as one of those optimistic people. But I accidentally let depression take the wheel and now I'm pretty much pessimistic.

How pessimistic? I go to sleep thinking whether I will wake up to see the next day.

1 cup of depresso with extra depression please.

Alone -Heart
Deja vu? No it's not. My birthday was spent in Sentosa. We started with the main highlight. Skyride and luge. We bought the 2+1 promotion, so you get 3 skyrides and 3 luge rides.
I apologise for lack of pictures. All taken by my handphone camera...
Starting off, a badly taken picture, by me.
Alvin and Ace.
Hm, it looked as though I'm falling. Well i'm not.
In front of us, tons of empty rides.
This is how high up we are from the ground.
You can see Siloso Beach from here.
And we got down, and straight away was luge. It's all downhill, and apparently you can go so fast, that when you reach a bend, you're scared that you might just fly off and into the trees. Adrenalin fun. =)
After 3 rounds of luges and skyrides, we headed to towards Siloso Beach. Played basketball, played around with the water. Played water monkey.
Once we got tired of going anywhere, we dried ourselves at the place we sheltered our belongings. While waiting, Sebastian showed us this future reading thingy. You named 4 people of the opposite gender and ask personal questions, relating to relationships and whatnot. It's fun and uncannily accurate. 80% of it.
Played with sand as well.
RIP Pringles.

This looks wrong.Made by Sebastian.Dinner was at Breeks at Harbourfront Centre, the place I wanted to try out since forever. Linus and Verdell joined after their work. Serving was kinda small but it's very expensive...

After that we went to the Skypark where we played bluff and more future reading on Verdell and Linus. Then we started on our way home.

Celebration's not over yet.

I reached home, finding 2 presents and 2 boxes of pizza on the table and my family members (except my father) waiting for me.

It's a wonder why they kept calling me.

Because I was feeling sticky, I went to bathe first. And we started eating the moment the clock struck 12. Bad timing. Well...

Presents from my younger sisters:

2 Kuma Kuma handphone key chains, a Kuma Kuma stopper thingy where you would usually stick on at the back of the car, a Kuma Kuma wrist rest and a Kuma Kuma backscratcher thingy.

Thank you Sebastian for treating me the luge and skyrides. Linus for dinner, although he reluctantly wanted to. Verdell, Shafiq, Alvin and Ace as well as Sebas and Linus for coming for my birthday. Not to mention Marlene, Sky, Holly, Fiea, Sarina, Shaq and Raudha for their birthday messages.

Thanks a lot. =)
